About the project
Light as material
The chapel has no windows at eye level. A narrow slot in the east wall lets one blade of light enter, and it moves across the floor during the morning service.
Sound and silence
Thick walls keep out the wind from the dunes. Inside, even a whisper carries.
Made by hand
The benches and altar were built by local carpenters from Danish oak.
